Sydney is a flutter with art right now. Australia's biggest art exhibition is adding a bit of spice and controversy to winter. The city's leading galleries and spectacular outdoor sites will host the visions and voices of more than 180 of the world's most exciting contemporary artists. Cockatoo Island is one of the main sites of the Biennale, with 35 works including a tunnel that rocks to the beat of psychedelic music and a shadow play in the old air raid shelter. Now in its 11th year, the Aroma Festival is one of Sydney's most loved winter fiestas, with nearly 100,000 people attending last year. This year is set to be just as big.
