Gossip Girl stunner Blake Lively is back on the big screen with a sequel to The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants.
On Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2
People feel the need to tell [the actors] these personal things about their lives, which is really great, but for me it's shocking that people come up and give me such intimate details. The issues really are universal. I think that's what's so important about the film is it doesn't portray these young girls being superficial which so many movies do; girls just giggling and painting their toenails and talking about Zac Efron. But that's not how all girls are.
On Filming in Greece
Once we got there, it was more Jason Bourne-like than Sisterhood-like. We had these moped accidents in our first scene. So I was on crutches the rest of the time, which took away the excitement of walking up those beautiful cobblestones.
On playing sports as a kid like her character in Sisterhood
I played soccer when I was little for about three years. And I wasn't very good at it, but I was always much taller than the rest of the kids, so they always had me on the little defensive line. They would never let me kick the ball around, because I guess I wasn't very good at that. [laughs] I was just like tall, lanky, and clumsy.
On her Gossip Girl co-star and boyfriend Penn Badgley Penn and I have actually known each other since we were kids. We used to home school together... [he] does these silly dance moves, and he's very witty and quick, so it's fun to have sharp banter with him...
On relationships
I've kissed just three people in my life, other than stuff that I've done for TV or movies. I know - I'm weird! I hope Brad Pitt doesn't hear this - he's never going to want to marry me! When I care about somebody, whether it's my best friend or somebody who I would date, I give them all of my heart. I've just been so loved, and I'm used to really loving people and trusting them.
On her too cool for school name
People are always like, "Blake Lively! Okay, what's your real name?" It's kind of embarrassing to tell people, because it sounds like a really cheesy stage name.
Acting is in her blood
My whole family is from Georgia but my Dad bought us all out to California in a motorhome because he was in the original cast of The Dukes of Hazard... The day I was born, when I came home from the hospital, I didn't go to my house. I went to my sister's set. I've grown up on set - my Mom is a manager and always has kids come in for coaching, my family's always going over lines for an audition. So it was so much a part of my life that I never felt a desire for it. And it seemed like such a nightmare. That [was] the last thing in the world I want to do. [Her actor brother said] "I think you're going to be an actress." He [told] his agents, "You have to start sending Blake out on auditions." And I didn't want to make him mad because he's such a good brother, so I just went on auditions to appease him.

Her upbringing
[Her family] are my best friends, anything that goes wrong I go to them. I'm not a wild person at all. You'll never read about me dancing on a banquette at some club. I grew up with the mindset that after work you go to dinner and watch a movie. I don't want to go to a club and not wear panties...
The advice her co-stars of Sisterhood, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel gave her
They said, "All you need to do [is] don't try to do anything. Don't try to clean your house. Don't try to get groceries. Just sleep and eat." I try to do [everything], I go to everything. I think I'm superwoman sometimes, [but] definitely not.
On playing rich girl Serena
Everyone thinks I'm like her. Hello, it's called acting. My idea of a good time in high school was going to Fuddruckers for a show-choir fund-raiser, not hanging out at the Palace Hotel sipping martinis...I was class president, on the cheerleading squad and in a competitive show choir and in six different clubs.
The most awkward moment
Chace and I had to do that scene in the first episode when I'm sitting on his lap on the barstool. Then they call, 'Cut!' and I just have to sit on the lap of this guy I met two weeks before! And I'm like, 'So, you want to get some pizza tonight or something?' What do you even talk about?!? It's not as romantic as people think it is.
Blake Lively stars in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2, out now.
