All Saints actress Jolene Anderson's next star turn is featuring in the one-woman stage show, 'Tell me on a Sunday'.

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR APPEARING ALONE ONSTAGE FOR 80 MINUTES?
"Well, first you have to find a way to combat the nerves! And, I guess for me that was by getting started on rehearsals early. Well... when I can fit it in with All Saints!"

HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY THEATRE?
"It was definitely a box I wanted to tick. I guess I was just waiting for the right project to come along."

THE SHOW'S ABOUT A SINGLE GAL IN NEW YORK. ARE YOU INTO SEX AND THE CITY?
"Hell, yeah! I'm a Sex and the City fan. My role is a little Carrie Bradshaw, flitting about New York, in and out of love. It's fun."

WILL YOU USE YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES AS A SINGLE GAL FOR THE ROLE?
"I'm sure I can. We can all draw from certain relationships that fit the mould of some of the men in Tell Me on a Sunday. And I can tell you, there ain't nothing wrong with being single!"

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE RAPID RISE OF YOUR SUCCESS?
"The best way to learn anything is to be thrown into the deep end and that is exactly what has happened to me. I left after 10 months at acting school to join All Saints and have not stopped since. Of course, it was daunting, but I really put my head down and took advantage of all that came my way."

AFTER SCHOOL, YOU EMBARKED ON A THREE-YEAR HIATUS TRAVELLING TO 32 COUNTRIES. STILL HAVE THAT WANDERLUST?
"I am starting to get itchy feet again to travel but I'm glad I got a fair chunk of it out of the way when I was younger - because I'm so old [laughs]! And, now I can concentrate on working here in Australia. Though, I would love a few weeks in Japan or Tuscany for some R&R. But, with my schedule, I don't see that happening!"

AFTER WINNING IT TAKES TWO, WHAT'S COMING UP MUSIC-WISE?
"No time for an album or anything with my schedule [unfortunately]. I'm juggling enough right now!"

DESPITE WORKING ON BUSH DOCTORS AND ALL SAINTS, ARE YOU SQUEAMISH ABOUT BLOOD?
"I actually do get quite squeamish with some of the gore on All Saints. The make-up artists do such a great job on the show, I think they have stronger stomachs than I do! But, I have to play it cool. You do learn a lot playing a nurse on the show. It's pretty fascinating."

Jolene Anderson stars in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tell Me On A Sunday in August. Tickets are out now through www.ticketek.com.au and www.kookaburra.org.au.
