Two or 22, it's never a problem at Martin Place bar. The stylish venue in the heart of the CBD is a popular hangout for the business crowd. Large groups can pre-order online to ensure speedy service on arrival, otherwise the bar's pay-as-you-go style ensures no one is left wondering who's going to foot the bill. Being just two, we decided to share Asian-style duck salad, $20, and salt and pepper squid with green papaya salad, $16, for entrees. Each is a meal on its own and any other day we would have stopped right there, but the almond-crusted blue-eye trevalla with baba ganoush and sugar snap peas, $24, and the char-grilled grass-fed Cape Grim scotch fillet, $30, looked too good to pass up. And they were. Topped off with copious amounts of eye-candy, we left very satisfied indeed.
