Location, location, location... and you can't go past this one overlooking Darling Habour. The Helm Bar is a popular spot for the after-work crowd keen to sample head barman Stuart Pilay's mind-bending martini - the
extra dirty Tanq 10. We popped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to find the open-air restaurant packed with office workers. The large menu offers plenty of choice, but after much deliberation we settled on the seared tuna salad with warm green beans, poached egg and peppered honey dressing, $15, and the rib eye steak on tomato, beetroot and caramelized onion chutney served with fries, $16. Both excellent value. The only disappointment was they'd run out of profiteroles with Kaluha ice-cream, $6; a very good reason to go back.
