The buzz this week is around Firefly, an intimate waterfront tapas bar in Walsh Bay. Directly opposite Sydney Theatre Company, it's a favourite haunt of the actors and actresses treading the boards. The friendly team, who say they believe good food should be enjoyed by all, have put together the "Firefly Stimulus package" lunch deal. Two shared plates plus a glass of wine or beer costs just $20. The more people you bring, the more plates you can try. The North Atlantic scallops with caramelised fennel were mouth-fillingly plump and an absolute must, the Peking duck pancakes rich and flavoursome, the herb and garlic prawns were bursting with fresh, juicy flavour and the prosciutto-wrapped haloumi insured we couldn't fit another thing in. Absolutely superb.
