"He's single you know," the woman on the table next to us said, motioning to Luke Mangan, who had just walked away after a round of compliments. Like us, the four women (each old enough to be his mother) had popped in for the two-course food and wine fixed lunch menu, $45 each - but if they had their way, they would be walking out with a lot more. And it looked like we would, too. Unable to resist the Hiramasa kingfish sashimi with ginger and Persian fetta $27, served at Princess Mary's wedding, we savoured the delicate slices, an entree to our entree, and envisioned life with our prospective princes. Back on the menu, we settled on salmon gravlax, dill creme and beetroot and Spencer Gulf salt and pepper prawns, each dish perfectly formed by the lightest of hands, but with no shortage of flavour.
